We were originally a community led, volunteer initiative called My Honeywood. My Honeywood was organized to save the Honeywood Arena and raise funds to rebuild and repair the aging facility. A year into fundraising efforts we realized we needed to do more.
This was the natural the next step.
By creating a not-for-profit it allows us to tap into other resources and expand our reach and our efforts…to be able to do more for each other, and that’s how we became The North of 89 Alliance…good people doing good things for the community.

We are known for our “stock” events…from FoodStock to SoupStock and now, introducing…CobStock. A Honeywood Corn Roast with Beer Garden, live music, food trucks and family friendly events.
It’s a FREE event. Entrance by DONATION.
All proceeds go to the North Dufferin Community Centre Revitalization Project.
